CEO's Note

Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL) is pleased to host the 4th Asia-Pacific (APAC) Regional Meet of Association of Power Exchanges (APEx), APEx APAC 2011 and International Conference in New Delhi from 6th to 8th March 2011. This APEx APAC meet would be the fourth of its kind, with the previous such meetings being held in Philippines, Singapore and Australia.

The format for the meeting has been kept similar to the regular APEx annual conference. Participation is limited to APEx members, associates and observers from countries and areas that are considering implementing competitive electricity markets.

However, to ensure wider coverage and better knowledge sharing experience for the APEx members, PXIL has worked out an innovative design. The APEx APAC meet has been planned so as to have exclusive interactions among APEx members during 6th and 7th March 2011 followed by an International Conference with participation from APEx members and key participants of Indian Power Markets on 8th March 2011.

While the APEx APAC meet would provide an excellent opportunity to your organization to meet and get updates from other APEx members and industry partners while visiting one of India’s most beautiful and historic cities; the International Conference has been designed to allow a cross-pollination of ideas from across the world with key industry participants, regulators from India and other Asian countries. The Conference would cover topics related to development of electricity markets such as issues related to deepening of the market, issues of infrastructure, Role of Power Exchanges in integrating renewable to the grid, Making Renewable Energy Certificates tradable, Smart Grids and an ideal Power Market design etc. and of course the industry and regulator’s views towards such developments. << Back
