The Programme

The PAT Mechanism is a market-based mechanism that is being implemented with a broad coverage with basic objective of encouraging energy efficiency in the industrial units in the designated sectors.

PAT Mechanism would see involvement of Designated Consumers, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Designated Accredited Energy Auditors, State Designated Agencies, Regulators and Power Exchanges with various roles and responsibilities.

PXIL has been assisting BEE in the design and implementation of PAT Mechanism. Now when the PAT market design is almost finalized and the scheme is about to be launched it becomes imperative to ensure that adequate awareness is created about the PAT Mechanism. For the purpose, PXIL in association with CCAP is organizing four capacity building workshops to promote market based mechanism in energy efficiency.

The core objective of this programme is to create awareness about the scheme design and its impact on the concerned stakeholders. Experience of similar mechanism in international market shall also be discussed during the workshop. PXIL shall also be sensitizing concerned entities about the operational strategies to manage risks and capitalize on opportunities presented by the Mechanism during the workshops.
