Ms. Chitra Ramkrishna is currently the Managing Director of National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE).



Mr. R Ramaseshan, Promoter Director, PXIL

Mr. R. Ramaseshan holds a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a Masters degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance. He is a fellow Member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.

He has had a long career in the Indian Administrative Services spanning over 25 years and has held various positions both in Government of India and Government of Karnataka. He has been associated with budget, tax reforms and fiscal policy making for a considerable period of time.

Currently, he is the Managing Director and CEO of the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX).



Mr. M. G. Raoot, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Raoot has very rich experience of system operation and power markets and is a recipient of CBI & P National Award for "Creative Work in Power Sector". He has published over 60 technical papers at various national and international seminars. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India). Mr M.G. Raoot was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of National Power Exchange Limited (NPEX). NPEX is a joint venture company promoted by NTPC Limited, NHPC Limited, Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) and TATA Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) to undertake the business of setting up and operation of a national level power exchange.



Mr. Anirban Guha, Shareholder Director, PXIL

Mr. Guha possesses more than 25 years of experience in the field of Power & Energy Sector. He is currently serving as Executive Director (R&T) at WB State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL).

Mr. Anirban Guha is a qualified Engineer.



Mr. Raaj Kumar, Shareholder Director, PXIL

Mr. Raaj Kumar is an Electrical Engineer from BITS, Pilani, India. He has over 35 years of useful experience in reputed organizations like Aditya Birla Group, Asian Paints, Praxair and JSW Group in various locations across India.

Mr. Raaj Kumar is currently Chief Executive Officer & Director of GMR Energy Limited (GEL), engaged in the entire value chain in the power sector – power generation, coal mining, transmission and trading etc in India and abroad. He is also a Director on the Board of various group Companies of GMR including two overseas companies i.e., PT Barasentosa Lestari (PT BSL), an Indonesian Greenfield coal company and a Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) listed Company, Homeland Energy Group (HEG) having coal mines and other mineral assets in South Africa.



Mr. C M Vasudev, Independent Director, PXIL

Mr. C. M. Vasudev holds a Master's Degree in Economics and Physics. He joined the Indian Administrative Services in 1966. Mr. Vasudev has worked as an Executive Director of World Bank representing India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. Mr. Vasudev has extensive experience of working at policy making levels in the financial sector and was responsible for laying down policies and oversight of management. He chaired World Bank's Committee on development effectiveness with responsibility of ensuring effectiveness of World Bank's operations. Mr. Vasudev has also worked as Secretary, Ministry of Finance for more than 8 years and has undertaken various assignments viz. Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Department of Expenditure, Department of Banking and Additional Secretary, Budget, with responsibility for framing the fiscal policies and policies for economic reforms and for co-coordinating preparation of budgets of the Government of India and monitoring its implementation. He has worked as a Government Nominee Director on the Boards of many companies in the financial sector including State Bank of India, IDBI, ICICI, IDFC, NABARD, National Housing Bank and also on the Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India. He was also member secretary of the Narasimham Committee on financial sector reforms. He also chaired a Committee on reforms of the NBFC sector. He has also worked as Joint Secretary of Ministry of Commerce with responsibility for state trading, trade policy including interface with WTO.

Dr. Kirit Shantilal Parikh, Independent Director, PXIL

He was honored with “Padma Bushan” by the President of India in March 2009.

He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India.

Dr Kirit S. Parikh has a Doctor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master's Degree in Economics from MIT, USA. He has been a Professor of Economics since 1967.

He was the Chairman of the Integrated Energy Policy Committee, Planning Commission. He was a Member of the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) of the Prime Ministers of India, Atal Behari Vajpayee, P.V. Narasimha Rao, Chandra Shekhar, V.P.Singh and Rajiv Gandhi. In the past he had also been a member of the National Committee for Environmental Planning & Co-ordination, the National Committee on Science and Technology and the Fuel Policy Committee.

In 2003 he was made honorary life member of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (on an average given to two persons a year in the world). He had been president of The Indian Econometric Society and Gujarat Economic Association. He is on the governing board of many development research Institutes in India. He has also been Chairman of some of these. He is the Chairman of the Indian National Committee (India NMO Committee) for the India-IIASA (International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis) Programme.

Dr. Parikh had been in the past on the Board of Directors of a number of major industrial firms and financial institutions. Among these are Indian Petro-Chemicals Limited, Life Insurance Corporation, Industrial Development Bank of India and State Bank of India.

In 1978 he was given the "Vikram Sarabhai Award" for Systems Analysis and Management. In 1999 he was given the "Visveswaraya Award" by the Engineers' Foundation in Kolhapur. He is also a recipient of "Nayudamma Award" for contribution to the welfare of mankind through developments in the fields of Economics & Energy in February 2005.

He was honoured as the most distinguished and illustrious alumni of the decade from India by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA in September, 2007. He was conferred the Distinguished Alumnus Award by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur in September, 2007. He was felicitated as one of the engineering personalities by the Indian Engineering Congress, December 2006

In 1997-98, on sabbatical leave from the IGIDR where he was Founder Director from 1986 till 2000, he was Special Economic Adviser to the Administrator, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), New York. From 1980-86, as Program Leader of the Food and Agricultural Program of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Austria, he directed a research programme involving 300 person years of efforts of more than 100 researchers from around the world. From 1960-80, he was Professor of Economics (and sometimes Head) of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), New Delhi. From 1969-71, as Director of Program Analysis Group (PAG), Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, he set up PAG to provide economic, operation research and management advice to different units of the DAE. From 1964-67 he was a Research Associate at the Center for International Studies, MIT.

Dr. Parikh had been the editor of "India Development Report" which provides a non-governmental assessment of India's development and policy options.

Dr Parikh has authored, co-authored and edited 29 books in the areas of
  • planning,
  • engineering
  • water resource management,
  • appropriate technology for housing,
  • optimum requirement for fertilizers,
  • energy systems and policy,
  • national and international food policies,
  • trade policies,
  • general equilibrium modeling,
  • environmental governance and
  • natural resources accounting.


He has also published numerous articles.


 
Mr. Vijay Kumar Aggarwal, Independent Director, PXIL

Mr. Vijay Kumar Aggarwal possesses over 35 years of experience of working in several government organisation(s) i.e. National and State (Maharashtra) level. He is a retired Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Maharashtra cadre. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Aggarwal has handled several senior level positions such as Chief Secretary (Govt. of Maharashtra), Additional Chief Secretary (Planning & Finance- Govt. of Maharashtra). He was also involved in various matters dealing with policy formulation, human resource development, implementation of tax laws, designing and reviewing regulatory framework for futures trading in commodity etc. Mr. Aggarwal also acts as a Director on the Board of various reputed companies.

Mr. Vijay Kumar Aggarwal possesses a post graduate degree in ‘Social Sciences’ and has done M. Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication from IIT -Delhi.

 
Mr. Vineet Nayyar

Mr. Vineet Nayyar is the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Tech Mahindra and the Chairman of Mahindra Satyam.

In a career spanning over 40 years, Vineet has varied experiences, he has worked with the government, international multilateral agencies and the corporate sector (both public and private).

Vineet, started his career with the Indian Administrative Service and held series of senior positions including that of a District Magistrate, Secretary - Agriculture & Rural Development for the Government of Haryana and Director, Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India. He also worked with the World Bank for over 10 years where among several senior assignments he has led the Energy, Infrastructure and Finance divisions for East Asia and Pacific regions.

In the corporate sector, Vineet was the founding Chairman & Managing Director of the state owned Gas Authority of India. He has served as the Managing Director of HCL Corporation and as the Vice Chairman of HCL Technologies. He was also the founder and CEO of HCL Perot Systems.

Vineet holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from Williams College, Massachusetts.
