Mr. Yatrik Vin, Chairman of the Board

Mr. Yatrik Vin has been nominated as director on the board of PXIL by the Promoter NSICL (NSE Strategic Investment Corporation Limited). Mr. Yatrik Vin is associated with NSE (National stock Exchange of India) since, 2000. He has over 28 years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Finance, Auditing and Assurance Function, Corporate Taxation, Risk Management, Designing and Implementation of Corporate Performance Management Systems, IT Systems and Control including ERP implementation, TQM etc. Previously, he has worked with Godrej & Boyce MFG and Raymond Synthetics Limited. His professional achievements include Best CFO of the year 2015, entered in to the roll of honour – Top 100 CFOs of India and Most influential; CFO of India – by CIMA, UK. 


Mr. Samir Kumar Mitter, Promoter Director, PXIL

Mr. Samir Kumar Mitter has been nominated as director on the board of PXIL by NCDEX. Mr. Samir Kumar Mitter is a retired Executive Director of LIC, having spent about 34 years in the field of life insurance, housing, trusteeship and other financial services. He was the Managing Director & CEO of IDBI Trusteeship Services Limited for more than three years. He was successful in recording unprecedented business and corporate growth in the respective companies. Besides, in LIC, Mr. Mitter has travelled across geographies holding key positions like Regional Manager (Marketing), Regional Manager (Legal), and Senior Divisional of various divisions. Mr. Mitter has attended various sessions in the leading Management Institutes in India and abroad. 

At present, Mr. Mitter is a Shareholder Director on the Board of National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) representing Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). He is a Shareholder Director on the Board of NCDEX e Markets Limited (NeML), a subsidiary of NCDEX. 


Mr. M. G. Raoot, Promoter Director, PXIL

Mr. M. G. Raoot has been nominated as director on the board of PXIL by the Promoter NSICL (NSE Strategic Investment Corporation Limited). Mr. M. G. Raoot is a seasoned power sector professional and has worked with PXIL as Managing Director & CEO from 1st April 2013 to 30th June, 2016. During his tenure as Managing Director and CEO of PXIL, under difficult operating environment, he took initiatives to improve the position of the Company. He made efforts to strengthen PXIL brand in media and contributed for removal of regulatory hurdles impacting business of PXIL. Previously he has worked at various positions and levels in National Power Exchange Ltd., Central Electricity Authority and Power Grid Corporation. He has also received many accolades from Ministers, CEOs & Stakeholders for demonstrating excellence in work and has been conferred with CBI&P National Award for ‘Creative work in Power Sector.'


Mr. M. K. Ananda Kumar, Promoter Director, PXIL

Mr. M. K. Ananda Kumar has been nominated as director on the board of PXIL by the Promoter NCDEX (National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited). M Mr. M.K. Ananda Kumar is currently working with NCDEX as Chief – Corporate Services and Company Secretary. Mr. M.K. Ananda Kumar has done B.Sc, L.L.B. and C.A.I.I.B and is an Associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ACS). Prior to joining NCDEX, Mr. M.K. Ananda Kumar was Executive Director, Bangalore Stock Exchange Ltd. He has worked for nearly 22 years in The Vysya Bank Ltd. (now ING Vysya) in various capacities in different departments with focus on capital market segment. Presently he is also on the Board of NCDEX Institute of Commodity Markets & Research (NICR) and National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL).


Mr. Vijay Kumar Aggarwal, Independent Director, PXIL

Mr. Vijay Kumar Aggarwal possesses over 35 years of experience of working in several government organisation(s) i.e. National and State (Maharashtra) level. He is a retired Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Maharashtra cadre.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Aggarwal has handled several senior level positions such as Chief Secretary (Govt. of Maharashtra), Additional Chief Secretary (Planning & Finance- Govt. of Maharashtra). He was also involved in various matters dealing with policy formulation, human resource development, implementation of tax laws, designing and reviewing regulatory framework for futures trading in commodity etc. Mr. Aggarwal also acts as an Independent Director on the Board of IOT Engineering Projects Limited.

Mr. Aggarwal possesses a post graduate degree in ‘Social Sciences’ and has done M. Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication from IIT -Delhi.


Dr. Kirit Shantilal Parikh, Independent Director, PXIL

Dr. Kirit Shantilal Parikh is a former Member, Planning Commission, Government of India, Chairman of Integrated Research and Action for Development (IRADe), New Delhi, Former (Founder) Director (Vice Chancellor), Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai - An Advanced Research Institute.

Dr. Parikh was honored with “Padma Bushan” by the President of India in March 2009 and     is a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India. 

Dr. Kirit S. Parikh has a Doctor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master's Degree in Economics from MIT, USA. He has been a Professor of Economics since 1967. 

He was the Chairman of the Integrated Energy Policy Committee, Planning Commission. He was a Member of the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) of the Prime Ministers of India, Atal Behari Vajpayee, P.V. Narasimha Rao, Chandra Shekhar, V.P.Singh and Rajiv Gandhi. In the past he had also been a member of the National Committee for Environmental Planning & Co-ordination, the National Committee on Science and Technology and the Fuel Policy Committee. 

In 2003 he was made honorary life member of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (on an average given to two persons a year in the world). He had been president of The Indian Econometric Society and Gujarat Economic Association. He is on the governing board of many development research Institutes in India. He has also been Chairman of some of these. He is the Chairman of the Indian National Committee (India NMO Committee) for the India-IIASA (International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis) Programme.

Dr. Parikh had been in the past on the Board of Directors of a number of major industrial firms and financial institutions. Among these are Indian Petro-Chemicals Limited, Life Insurance Corporation, Industrial Development Bank of India and State Bank of India.

In 1978 he was given the "Vikram Sarabhai Award" for Systems Analysis and Management. In 1999 he was given the "Visveswaraya Award" by the Engineers' Foundation in Kolhapur. He is also a recipient of "Nayudamma Award" for contribution to the welfare of mankind through developments in the fields of Economics & Energy in February 2005.

He was honoured as the most distinguished and illustrious alumni of the decade from India by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA in September, 2007. He was conferred t Distinguished Alumnus Award by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur in September, 2007. He was felicitated as one of the engineering personalities by the Indian Engineering Congress, December 2006 .

In 1997-98, on sabbatical leave from the IGIDR where he was Founder Director from 1986 till 2000, he was Special Economic Adviser to the Administrator, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), New York. From 1980-86, as Program Leader of the Food and Agricultural Program of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Austria, he directed a research programme involving 300 person years of efforts of more than 100 researchers from around the world. From 1960-80, he was Professor of Economics (and sometimes Head) of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), New Delhi. From 1969-71, as Director of Program Analysis Group (PAG), Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, he set up PAG to provide economic, operation research and management advice to different units of the DAE. From 1964-67 he was a Research Associate at the Center for International Studies, MIT.

Dr. Parikh had been the editor of "India Development Report" which provides a non-governmental assessment of India's development and policy options. 

Dr Parikh has authored, co-authored and edited 29 books in the areas of 

  • Planning,
  • Engineering
  • Water resource management,
  • Appropriate technology for housing,
  • Optimum requirement for fertilizers,
  • Energy systems and policy,
  • National and International food policies,
  • Trade policies,
  • General equilibrium modeling,
  • Environmental governance and
  • Natural resources accounting.

He has also published numerous articles.


Mr. Pramod Kumar Vaishya, Independent Director, PXIL

Mr. Pramod Kumar Vaishya has been appointed as the Independent Director of PXIL by the Members at the 7th Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 28th September, 2015. Mr. Vaishya has served the Madhya Pradesh Power Sector for about 41 years. He was a former Secretary to M. P. State Electricity Board (MPSEB) for about 7 years. During his tenure in MPSEB he was the head of Corporate Planning Group, responsible for implementation of reforms in the Madhya Pradesh power sector. Mr. Vaishya was the Managing Director of M. P. Power Management Company Limited for about six years (upto March 2012). Mr. Vaishya had also been on the Board of various other companies. Currently, he is the proprietor of the firm M/s. PRS Engineers and Consultants which provides consultancy to select power sector companies.

Mr. Vaishya is a B.E (Electrical) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior in 1971. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Engineers and a lifetime member of the Computer Society of India.


Mr. Kamlesh P Jangid, Director (Shareholder Category), PXIL

Mr. Kamlesh P Jangid has been nominated as Director on the Board of PXIL by the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

Mr. Jangid is a Cost and Works Accountant. He has been working with GUVNL (erstwhile Gujarat Electricity Board) since last 10 years. He has held various positions in erstwhile Gujarat Electricity Board and thereafter in GUVNL. He is presently holding the position of General Manager (Commerce) in GUVNL. He is looking after commercial, accounting and regulatory matters relating to power purchase (conventional and non conventional sources).

He is Member Secretary of Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC) constituted by Government of Gujarat (GoG) for Ultra Mega Power Project (Mundra) to review and monitor the progress of activities and issues of Coastal Gujarat Private Ltd. His portfolio inter alia comprises of evaluation of proposals and executing of Power Purchase Agreements, conducting Competitive bidding processes for power procurement and executing agreements, co-ordination with Load Despatch Centers, Regulatory affairs, Offering views and suggestions on draft regulations, guidelines, policies etc issued by Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) and Government. 


Mr. Ashok Kumar Prusty, Director (Shareholder Category), PXIL

Mr. Ashok Kumar Prusty has been nominated as Director on the Board of PXIL by the GMR Energy Limited (GMR). Mr. Ashok Kumar Prusty is a B.E (Mechanical) & MBA (Project Management). He has 32 years of working experience in the Indian Power Sector (24 years with NTPC and 8 years with IPPs like Jindal India Thermal Power limited, Universal Crescent Power Private Limited & Jindal Power Limited) before joining GMR Energy in December, 2015. During his service tenure he has held key responsibilities in Power Trading, Commercial, Regulatory affairs, Operation, Maintenance, Commissioning, Erection and Project Development fields. He has 18 years of experience in Erection, Commissioning and Operation and Maintenance of 200 MW and 500 MW units of Korba Super Thermal Power Station of NTPC. He was among the first person to start Power Trading in the country and has worked for 6 years as In charge of Business Development & Commercial function of Power Trading wing of NTPC.
